Creative Writing

We are a small friendly group who write short stories and poems, and share our work with each other at our fortnightly afternoon meetings. We don’t criticise only advise if a line or name is confused, or maybe help with a plot suggestion here or there. We read aloud and critique the creative writing done at home.  This is either the ‘set homework’ or personal projects which members are seeking to develop, mainly novels, short stories or poetry.

Yes we have vacancies in our group if anyone would like to join us. We also welcome visitors who would like to ‘try us out’ and in the unlikely event we had a lot of interest then we would keep names on a waiting list.

The group meets every other Tuesday at 2.00 pm at the Beacon Cafe meeting room.

For further information members should contact the group leader. Alternatively, email the Group Coordination team at heswallu3a.groups@gmail.com and your message will be forwarded to the appropriate person. Please include your membership number in your enquiry.

Participation in an Interest Group requires Heswall U3A membership. If you are not a member, please follow the membership enquiry process.
