‘A Strange Thing Happened on the way to the Police Station’ by Martin Gaffney
Martin Gaffney is a highly regarded speaker, for his topics he draws upon his 32 year experience in a major UK police force. Here he encountered every aspect of human life some of which, he shares with the audience. Although the subjects appear serious, every story contains humour, human nature and intriguing true life events.
His career gave him the opportunity to develop important specialist security responsibility. He developed UK National Counter Terrorist Search Manual ACPO TAM 2010. He became Associate Course Director Emergency Planning College Cabinet Office 2007. He was Qualified Counter Terrorist Security Co-ordinator Home Office 2006. He developed UK National Standard for Security Co-ordinators 2005.
These represent quite a series of achievements which later led him to work within the Specialist Operations Branch where he led on Security Coordination for Major UK Sporting Events and Political Party Conferences. He has lectured on Security Coordination in United Kingdom, Canada and the USA.
His talks have always been well received with warm invitations to return to continue the theme. Once again, we will be treated to a distinctly different type of highly recommended Speaker which we feel sure we will all find thoroughly absorbing.
