COVID – 19
To All Members of Heswall U3A
We request anyone with Covid, cold or flu symptoms to not attend any Heswall U3A activity. In line with English regulations you must wear a facemask at events taking place in community venues and we strongly request you to wear a mask at all our activities even where the location is outside of the current regulations.
Over the coming months and until the situation further improves we would ask our members who are not at least double jabbed and have had their booster to not attend group activities. This is in line with many organisations.
Back in July we issued the following: –
“Our numerous Interest Groups should decide amongst themselves the best way for their group to meet with safety and personal responsibility the watchwords, along with good ventilation in enclosed spaces. Government advice is that clinically vulnerable people should consider the risks of meeting in crowded and indoor spaces with poor ventilation.” We are delighted that our groups have taken this on board.
In England the emphasis is on personal responsibility and the guidance is to use face masks in enclosed and crowded spaces where there is poor ventilation.
If the activity is planned to be in Wales please check on “gov.wales” as their rules normally vary.
